~ Valmy ~ Valmy is a Newfoundland-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Ontario who’s been following the ocean and making home on the East Coast. Exploring the complexities of relationship, loss, and healing, she uses her folk-influenced music to tell stories about loving and stumbling your way through the dark. Valmy’s debut album “The In Between” weaves nature-inspired melodic swells and atmospheric harmonies with her contemplative writing, and it was warmly received by listeners. Since the record’s release, Valmy’s received MusicNL’s 2024 ‘Solo Artist of the Year’ Award, been nominated for an ECMA, and has toured from Atlantic Canada to Ontario and back. This tour brought her to this past Autumn and she’s looking forward to returning to share new music and join forces with George Woodhouse.

~ George Woodhouse ~ In 2019, George Woodhouse challenged himself to write “a-song-a-week” for one year, a creative journey led him to strike up a band called The Public Service. They were only ever meant to play one show, but six years later, George has performed solo and with his band on stages from The Yukon to Newfoundland, most recently completing a tour of Ontario with The Public Service including shows at The National Arts Centre and TD Music Hall. George’s creative practice is founded on the belief that when you share your gifts, you offer the world the greatest public service of all.
